Crisis climática selfie 2018

Artpiece as a comment to the current climate crisis, and the IPCC-report that was released in autumn 2018. I took inspiration from the latinamerican anti-capitalism, as the situation with Brazil’s new president destroying the Amazons is dire. Instead of the iconic Che Guevara image, I used a white marble statue’s face as a visual representation of something owed by the upper class. Surrounded by bright red colors and with a spanish poem speaking of the elements, I sought to make a portrait of myself and my generation as we now enter the age of the climatechange.
